Placement

My favorite part of hanging artwork is deciding what paintings are going to live next to each other for a time. Sometimes they scream out for a specific artistic companion, other times it’s a subtle hint. Some say similar should hang with similar, and that can look neat and cohesive, but there are instances to have a little fun. Don’t be afraid to put an abstract next to a landscape or expressionism next to realism. Nothing has to match as long as the colors and designs are compatible. Give it a try, have some fun. You can always change it!
